🐄 Meet Our Cows
Welcome to the herd! At Bristol Oaks, our cows aren't just farm animals. They're family, each with their own personality, quirks, and special place in our hearts.
From our majestic Highland bull to our adorable fluffy calves, our pasture is home to a wonderful mix of Highland cattle, White Parks, Dexters, and some pretty special crosses.
Whether you're visiting for the first time or already part of our Bristol Oaks family, we can't wait for you to meet the herd!
🌿 Get to Know Our Breeds
We love sharing our passion for heritage cattle and introducing visitors to the characteristics that make each breed unique.
🐂 Scottish Highland: Famous for their long, shaggy coats and impressive horns, Highland cattle originated in Scotland. Their thick hair helps protect them from harsh weather, and they're known for their hardy nature.
🤍 White Park: An ancient heritage cattle breed recognized by its distinctive white coat and colored points, typically on the ears, muzzle, and around the eyes.
🐄 Dexter: One of the smallest traditional European cattle breeds, Dexters are known for their compact size, versatility, and friendly personalities.
💕 HighDex: A cross between Highland and Dexter cattle. These adorable crosses can combine the Highland's fluffy appearance with the Dexter's smaller stature.
🌸 HighPark: A Highland and White Park cross that can produce some beautiful combinations of fluffy coats and distinctive markings.
Every cross is unique, which is part of what makes our herd so special!
