Nigerian Dwarf goats are a miniature dairy breed known for their small size, beautiful coloring, and lively personalities.
Despite their petite stature, these goats are intelligent, social, and surprisingly athletic. They love to climb, jump, explore, and investigate just about everything!
🐐 Fun Facts About Nigerian Dwarf Goats
- Small but mighty: Adult Nigerian Dwarf goats typically stand around 17–23 inches tall at the shoulder.
- Beautiful eyes: Nigerian Dwarf goats can have striking blue eyes, just like some of our Bristol Oaks girls!
- Natural climbers: Goats love climbing structures, platforms, and anything that gives them a better view of their surroundings.
- Social butterflies: Goats are herd animals and enjoy spending time with their companions.
- Smart cookies: Goats can learn routines and recognize familiar people.
- Little dairy goats: Nigerian Dwarf goats are valued for producing milk with a relatively high butterfat content.

Appearance: Primarily black
Meet Mary Anne, one of the older girls in our Bristol Oaks goat family!
With her beautiful dark coloring, Mary Anne is a special member of our little herd.
She's been part of the Bristol Oaks family longer than our younger girls, Thelma and Louise.
Like other Nigerian Dwarf goats, Mary Anne is part of a social herd that enjoys exploring its surroundings and spending time together.
🤍 Lovey | Our Black-and-White Beauty
Breed: Nigerian Dwarf Goat
Appearance: White and black
With a name like Lovey, how could you not fall in love?
Lovey is another of our older Nigerian Dwarf girls, with beautiful black-and-white coloring that makes her stand out.
She's part of the crew that makes our goat area such a fun place to visit.
Be sure to look for Lovey when you come to the farm!
🌼 Thelma | Our Black-and-Tan Beauty
Breed: Nigerian Dwarf Goat
Appearance: Black and tan
Meet Thelma, one of our younger Nigerian Dwarf goats!
With her beautiful black-and-tan coat and adorable little face, Thelma is a wonderful addition to our farm family.
She and Louise are the younger members of our goat herd, bringing plenty of youthful goat energy to Bristol Oaks.
Like many goats, Thelma enjoys exploring her surroundings, and you may spot her taking advantage of the climbing structures in the goat area!
🌸 Louise | The Other Half of the Duo
Breed: Nigerian Dwarf Goat
Appearance: Black, brown, and white
Where there's Thelma, there's Louise!
Louise is the other half of our younger goat duo, with beautiful tricolored markings and an adorable face.
These two girls share their names with a famous adventurous pair, and we think the names are a perfect fit for a couple of curious little goats!
